About

I am trained as an industrial designer – I attended Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Over the years I have worn many hats; I managed treeplanting camps, worked as the head of design and engineering for a super diverse manufacturing facility and had a stint as a graphic designer. More recently I started a design collective and designed products for bocci.
I now have my dream job at FYi Design Dept. FYi is known in the industry as a leading innovation force in the world of technical and performance apparel. Co-heading the design of brands such as Burton [AK], Aether and Patagonia. FYi specializes in the product development of technical outerwear, apparel, gloves, bags and backpacks – it is based in a back-country studio north of Whistler in British Columbia, Canada. I work as a vertical designer; blurring the lines between soft and hard goods.
Hiatas is a collection of projects that I have worked on over the years, some were for past employers/clients, but many were completed after hours (either solo or as colabs).
Unfortunately I can’t show what I am working on right now at FYi – that stuff is top secret and I can’t disclose it until it is on the market…
